The ICD-9 lookup tool provides a user-friendly and intuitive interface for searching the most commonly used ICD-9 diagnosis codes. Each ICD-9 code within Essential Evidence Plus has an associated keyword and in most cases one or more alternate spellings, terms or abbreviations. Generally, ICD-9 codes are simplified for easy reference; for example, “pulmonary embolism” instead of “pulmonary embolism (NOS)”. The ICD-9 lookup tool makes it quick and easy to locate consistent, reliable and accurate diagnosis and procedure codes.
